Liberties Fun Run, Dublin
The Liberties Fun Run is the 18th annual timed road race organised by St James’s Hospital Foundation in aid of St James’s Hospital. The event is scheduled for 12 August 2026 and uses a certified timed format over a 4-mile distance.
The route runs through the heart of old Dublin and includes sections of cobblestone streets. The course starts and finishes in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham and passes notable local sites such as St James’s Gate, Francis Street, The Coombe and Fatima. The event typically attracts in excess of 1500 participants.
Entry is charged at €45, with an early bird price of €35 available. The entry fee may be waived for participants who meet a fundraising requirement; the minimum fundraising target for fee waiver is €200. All proceeds from the 2026 Liberties Fun Run will be used to improve patient care at St James’s Hospital.
