About the race
The Lexus Corporate Run in Downtown Miami is a city evening 5K road race at Bayfront Park in Miami, Florida. The event is part of the Corporate Run Series produced by TeamFootWorks, which includes three individual 5K races held in Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Downtown Miami over a 30 day period. The Corporate Run began in 1985 as part of the Manufacturers Hanover Corporate Challenge race series and grew steadily over decades. In 2018 the Miami event drew 28,265 participants and involved more than 850 companies.
The Series reached participation milestones of 10,000 in 1994, 20,000 in 1997, and 30,000 in 2013. The race is organized around company teams. Team size rules and fees for this event include a minimum of four members per team and a registration fee of $57 per team member plus a $2 Bayfront Park fee and a $5.27 processing fee. Companies compete in 18 industry categories with awards for overall male, female, and coed teams, plaques for category winners, plus awards for a T-shirt contest and the largest team. The Corporate Run emphasizes running and walking as tools for workplace health and community fitness.
