About the race
Letsgo Potch! Marathon 2026 is a multi-distance road event held in Potchefstroom at JB Marks Oval and organised by Letsgo South Africa. The event offers timed races over the following distances:
- 5 km Timed Run
- 10 km (includes the ASA National 10 km championship)
- 21.1 km half marathon
- 42.2 km marathon
Pre-entries close on 12 October 2025. No entries are available on race day. Temporary ASA licences are available for R70 and are required for all listed distances. The marathon serves as an official qualifier for the Comrades Marathon and the Two Oceans Marathon.
Race numbers may be collected on the days before the event and on event day; venue pick-up details will be confirmed. The marathon has a halfway cut-off of 3 hours and a full-distance cut-off of 6 hours; athletes still on the course by the sweeping vehicle schedule will be collected and the race referee may remove any athlete showing signs of health problems. Entry fees are listed per distance and are payable in South African rand. The event is presented as a community initiative with funds raised supporting development efforts in Potchefstroom.
