Letchworth 5K
The Letchworth 5K takes place in Letchworth Garden City town centre on Sunday 20 September 2026. Races and the fun run start and finish in Leys Square, SG6 3EW, with road closures in place for the event.

Race pack collection, including race numbers and chips, is available at Cultivo Lounge, Leys Avenue, on the weekend of the event. There are free public car parks at Arena Parade, The Wynd and Rowland Way, and secure cycle racks in town for those arriving by bike.
There are no changing facilities before the race. A baggage handling facility is provided at the start and finish; any items left are at the owner’s risk. Public toilets are available in the town centre and some local cafes will allow use of their facilities.
Safety and course details: all roads on the course are closed, the surface is tarmac or solid blocks and the route is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Participants are asked not to wear headphones so they can hear marshals. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult. Runners with dogs should start at the back and keep dogs on a short lead. Race numbers must be worn on the front of clothing.
Sustainability measures include compostable or reusable cups, recycling of paper and cardboard, reuse of race numbers and medals from a sustainable source. First aid trained marshals will be present. Results will be available in real time. Prizes include a commemorative medal for all finishers and awards by category, with a prize ceremony after the races; prizes are awarded on gun time.
