Event
The Letchworth 5K takes place in Letchworth Garden City town centre on 20 September 2026. Races start and finish in Leys Square. The programme includes the following distances:

- 1 mile
- Fun Run
Entry fees are stated as £12.00 for the 5K and £8.00 for the 1 Mile. A £2 discount applies for participants affiliated to England Athletics on production of a URN. Age limits are: 5 km for ages 12 and over, and the 1 Mile is free for those under 11.
Race details and logistics
All roads are closed for the event. The course surface is tarmac or solid blocks and is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Runners are advised not to wear headphones so they can hear marshals. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult. Runners with dogs must start at the back and keep the dog on a short lead.
Race numbers should be worn on the front. There are no changing facilities before the start. A baggage handling facility is provided at the start/finish and any items left are at the owner’s risk. Public toilets are available in the town centre.
Pre- and post-race refreshments will be available at Leys Square. All finishers receive a commemorative medal.
Prizes and results
Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female, plus 1st in V40, V50, V60 and V70. Prizes are based on gun time. Results will be available on the event website in real time.
Environmental measures
Cups are compostable or reusable, paper and cardboard will be recycled, race numbers are reused, and medals come from a sustainable source. Participants are asked to take litter home and bring their own water bottles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
