Leprechaun Chase : Long Beach, CA
The Leprechaun Chase takes place on March 14, 2026, at Alamitos Beach, 780 E Shoreline Dr., Long Beach, CA. The event offers multiple race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 10 Miler
- Half Marathon
Early bib pick-up is held the day before at Sports Basement Long Beach (2100 N Bellflower Blvd). On race day, bib pick-up and a registration tent are provided. Personal items may be left with staff at the registration tent; participants supply their own bags. All finishers receive a medal; overall first-place male and female finishers in each distance receive additional 1st place medals. Race photos are provided free and results and photos are emailed the day after the event.
Course, support and logistics
Courses are out-and-back routes using a combination of a 5k loop and a 5-mile loop: the 5K is one lap of the 5k route, the 10K is two laps of the 5k route, the 10 Miler is two laps of the 5-mile route, and the Half Marathon uses two laps of the 5-mile route plus one lap of the 5k route. The beach path is an open course shared with other users; runners are directed to stay on the right side of the path where pedestrians are expected. A fully stocked water station is located at Belmont Pier and the finish area has an aid station with water, Gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks. First aid kits are available at each station and staff have received CPR training. Parking in the lot is charged by the hour and street parking is free.
