Leprechaun Chase – 5K, 10K, 10-Miler, Half Marathon
The Leprechaun Chase is scheduled for March 14, 2026 at Alamitos Beach, 780 E Shoreline Dr, Long Beach, CA. The event offers these distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 10 Miler
- Half Marathon
Courses are out-and-back loops along the beach path. The 5K route is used for the 5K (one lap) and the 10K (two laps). The 5-mile route is used for the 10 Miler (two laps). The Half Marathon combines two laps of the 5-mile route and one lap of the 5K route. The beach path is an open course; runners should keep to the right for pedestrians while cyclists use the left.
Logistics include early bib pick-up on the Friday before the race at Sports Basement Long Beach and bib pick-up on race morning at the registration tent. Parking in the nearby lot costs $2 per hour; street parking is free. Participants may leave personal items at the registration tent gear check and should bring their own bag.
On-course support includes a fully stocked water station and a finish-line aid station with water, electrolytes, gels, and fruit snacks. First aid kits are available at each station and crew members have received CPR training. Turns are marked with chalk, runner turn signs, and flags.
All finishers receive a race medal. Overall first place male and female finishers in each distance receive 1st place medals. Race results and photos are sent after the event; race photos are free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
