Leixlip 5K Road Race
The Leixlip 5K Road Race is a running event held in Leixlip, starting and finishing at the Le Cheile Athletic Club. The race follows a road course and is open to individuals aged 13 years and older. The event holds an official permit with certificate number 26/79 and accommodates various types of participants, including runners and walkers.
Participants can choose from two registration categories:
- 5 km adult entry
- 5 km juvenile entry for those aged 13 to 17
Race numbers are collected at the track on the evening of the event. Late registration is also available at the same location before the race begins. While online registration is the primary method of entry, the event also offers an on-day entry option for a set fee.
The event features several competitive categories with prizes provided for top finishers. Cash awards are given to the first, second, and third-place male and female finishers. Additionally, recognition is given to the first-place male and female runners in the master categories for ages 40, 50, and 60, as well as the top junior male and female participants in the 13 to under-20 age bracket.
