The Legwork For Lungs takes place on November 8, 2025, at Buccleuch Park, 321 Easton Ave, New Brunswick. The event is the 9th annual fundraiser for lung cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center during Lung Cancer Awareness Month. It includes the following distances:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Walk
Event details
Entry fees are $18 for the 5K run and $6 for the 1-mile walk. Registration for the walk closes on November 8, 2025, and registration for the 5K closes on November 7, 2025. T-shirts are offered free to the first 50 early 5K registrants and will also be available for purchase.
The event program includes raffles, games, food, drinks, music, prizes, shirts, and medals. An awards presentation will recognize the top three overall male and female finishers and top finishers in these age brackets: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 & over. Check-in and race operations use the park pavilion. Parking is available in the lot next to the pavilion or in other parking-permitted areas within the park. Volunteers, cones, and arrows will be present on the course to guide participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
