Legwork For Lungs 5K Run & Mile Walk (10th annual)
The event takes place on November 7, 2026 at Buccleuch Park in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It is a community running and walking event held rain or shine to raise funds for lung cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center during Lung Cancer Awareness Month.

- 5K run
- 1 mile fitness walk, untimed
The event program includes raffles, games, food and drinks, music, prizes, shirts, and medals. Amenities include live online, text, and email results, free finish line photos, and a personalized bib for participants who register at least three weeks in advance. The first 100 early 5K registrants receive a free T-shirt; shirts are also available for purchase.
Registration options listed on the event page show a base price of $25.00 for the 5K and $10.00 for the 1 mile walk, with processing fees increasing the displayed totals to $28.63 and $13.10 respectively. Registration fees are non refundable and a waiver and agreement are required at registration. Bib pickup begins one hour before the event; last minute registrants may receive their bib number by text within 90 seconds.
