Legs for Literacy
Legs for Literacy is a charity running event held in Moncton, New Brunswick. As a registered charity, the organization focuses on generating funds for community literacy projects while providing a comprehensive race experience. The event schedule spans a weekend, featuring family-oriented activities on Saturday and major distance races on Sunday.
The event offers several chip-timed participation options:
- Marathon (certified route)
- Marathon Relay (teams of 2 to 8 members across 8 legs)
- Half Marathon (certified route)
- 10K Run or Walk (certified route)
- 5K Run or Walk (flat, fast course)
- Family Fun Run/Walk (1 km for children under 14)
Participants who register by July 31 are guaranteed a short-sleeve t-shirt. All finishers receive a Legs for Literacy medal. The weekend also includes a Race Expo for attendees. Sunday races start from Avenir Plaza, while the Saturday family events take place at Riverfront Park.
