Legends Never Die - Ketchum, ID
Legends Never Die is a trail running event on October 3, 2026, held at Oregon Gulch near Ketchum, Idaho. The event has a participant capacity of 200 and takes place on single-track trails through the Sun Valley backcountry and mountain terrain.

The half marathon follows the Big Wood River before ascending on the Oregon Fox Connector trail, and includes a looped section that leads to the finish. The half’s high point reaches about 7,600 ft with a total elevation gain and loss of approximately 2,372 ft.
The ultra course builds on the half marathon route, adding a loop around Fox Peak and extending toward Easley Hot Springs. The ultra reaches a high point near 8,650 ft and features about 7,000 ft of elevation gain and loss. Runners will encounter rugged climbs, forested trails, and stretches of open alpine terrain.
Aid stations are stocked by Atkinsons Market and provide Tailwind, water, and a variety of fuel. The event names Zenergy Sun Valley as title sponsor and lists Limelight Hotel as official lodging partner with discounted rooms and prizes. Finish line provisions include offerings from Sawtooth Brewery and free race photos from Smiley’s Mountain Photo. Prizes and awards are provided by Lululemon, Vimazi, and Sturtevants. The event supports several local organizations including Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation, Wood River Trails Coalition, Higher Ground, and Soles4Souls.
