Legends Never Die : October 3, 2026
Legends Never Die is a trail running event held at Oregon Gulch near Ketchum, Idaho. The event includes a half marathon and an ultra marathon (approximately 34 miles / 55K) on well-marked single-track trails that traverse forested and alpine terrain. The courses use loops that follow the Big Wood River, ascend on the Oregon Fox Connector trail, and include additional routing around Fox Peak and toward Easley Hot Springs.
The event capacity is 200 participants. Starts are staggered and runners are assigned start waves based on pace. Weather in early October can vary at higher elevation and there is a chance of snow.
Aid stations are stocked by Atkinsons Market and provide Tailwind, water, and a variety of fuel. Race photos and finisher photos are provided free to participants by Smiley’s Mountain Photo. Title sponsor support and partners include Zenergy Sun Valley and Limelight Hotel. Finish line beverages are provided by Sawtooth Brewery, including beer and kombucha. Prizes and awards are provided by Limelight Hotels, Lululemon, Vimazi, and Sturtevants.
