Course details and features
Both courses use single-track forested trails with significant elevation change and alpine sections. The half marathon reaches a high point of 7,600 ft with approximately 2,372 ft of elevation gain and follows the Big Wood River before ascending the Oregon Fox Connector trail and returning via a looped finish. The ultra builds on the half route, adds a loop around Fox Peak, and extends toward Easley Hot Springs; its high point is listed near 8,550 ft with about 6,781 ft of cumulative elevation gain. The start and finish are at Oregon Gulch via Curly’s, on well-marked steep single-track loops.
Aid stations are stocked by Atkinsons Market and include Tailwind, water, and fueling options. Title sponsor and partners are listed, and finish-line provisions include beverages and event photography provided free to participants. The event names several local organizations it supports.
