Leanne Fund 5k/10k
The Leanne Fund 5k/10k is a community event held at Sgoil an Rubha to support children, young people, and families across Scotland affected by Cystic Fibrosis. Participants gather to engage in either running or walking through the local area, with an emphasis on a colourful atmosphere. The following distances are available for participants:
- 10 km (limited to runners aged 18 and over)
- 5 km (open to both runners and walkers)
Race participants collect their numbers at the event venue prior to the start. The event features a rainbow-themed fancy dress tradition where attendees are encouraged to wear creative and colourful outfits. A raffle also takes place alongside the main athletic activities.
Trophies are awarded for various categories in both race distances. For the 10 km event, awards are granted to the top three male and female finishers, as well as the first local male and female participants. In the 5 km event, prizes are distributed to the top three adult males and females, the top three under-16 males and females, and the top local male and female. A special prize is also designated for the fastest football team. To qualify for local prizes, participants must have a Point address. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
