Event overview
The Autoparts Stornoway Half Marathon & 10K takes place on Saturday 23rd May 2026. The event is organised by Stornoway Running & Athletics Club and is the 41st edition. Races start and finish in the town centre on the Inner Harbour next to the marina. Both finishers receive a medal; Half Marathon finishers also receive a T-shirt. Profits from the event are used by the Club to support running and athletics on the Isle of Lewis.

Course and facilities
The course is a mix of tarmac roads, pavements and gravel forest trails through the Lews Castle Grounds. The trails are described as suitable for road shoes. The route is not ideal for wheelchairs. Water stations on the Half Marathon are located at approximately 3, 6, 9 and 11 miles. The 10K has two water stations.
Entries, prizes and race day arrangements
Early-bird Half Marathon entry (until 31 December 2025) is £30 standard, £28 affiliated; from 1 January 2026 it is £35 standard, £33 affiliated. Early-bird 10K entry is £15 standard, £13 affiliated; from 1 January 2026 it is £20 standard, £18 affiliated. There are age-category and local prizes for male and female finishers and team prizes based on combined times of three runners. Local prize eligibility requires an Isle of Lewis HS1 or HS2 postcode for at least 12 months before race day. Registration and race number collection take place at the MA Hall the evening before the race. No entries are available on the night before the race or on race day.
Post-race and volunteers
A post-race buffet and an evening ceilidh are part of the event; ceilidh ticket sales are donated to a nominated local charity. The organisers seek about 40 marshals; marshal packs and T-shirts are available for collection before the race and volunteers are asked to register by 30th April 2026.
