Event overview
The Autoparts Stornoway Half Marathon & 10K takes place on Saturday 23 May 2026 on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. The event is organised by Stornoway Running & Athletics Club. Distances offered:

The route combines tarmac roads and pavements with gravel forest trails through the Lews Castle Grounds. The trails are described as runnable and suitable for road shoes. Both races start and finish in the town centre at the Inner Harbour next to the marina. All finishers receive a medal and half marathon finishers also receive a finisher T-shirt. There is a post-race buffet in the MA Hall and an evening ceilidh; ceilidh tickets are sold and proceeds go to a nominated local charity.
Entry, prizes and logistics
Early bird entries are available until 31 December 2025. Half marathon fees: Standard £30, Affiliated £28. From 1 January 2026: Standard £35, Affiliated £33. 10K fees: Early bird Standard £15, Affiliated £13; from 1 January 2026 Standard £20, Affiliated £18. No entries are available on the night before the race or on race day; entries must be made by the online deadline.
Prize categories include male and female overall places, veteran age groups (V40, V50, V60, V70), local prizes and team prizes (team time = combined times of first three runners). Local prize eligibility requires Isle of Lewis residency with HS1 or HS2 postcode for at least 12 months before race day. Water stations for the half marathon are at approximately 3, 6, 9 and 11 miles; the 10K has two water stations. Race registration and number collection are at the MA Hall on the Friday evening before the race. Toilet, limited changing and bag-drop facilities are provided; showers are available at Lewis Sports Centre about 800 m from the finish.
