Leaky Hourglass Ultra
Leaky Hourglass Ultra is a Last Man Standing event held near Half Way, Missouri. Each lap is an out-and-back of 4.167 mile. The format reduces the allowed cutoff by one minute after every completed lap, beginning with 60 minutes for the first lap and continuing until only one person completes a lap.
The course runs on a chip and sealed rural highway with rolling hills. Each lap has roughly 250 feet of elevation gain. The route is not a closed course and may have traffic; runners are required to run facing traffic and to carry a headlamp and a flasher after sunset.
There are two aid stations. A manned start/finish station provides Tailwind Endurance Fuel, water, chips, pickles, candy bars, Scooby snacks, and a variety of hot and cold options throughout the day. An unmanned turnaround station offers Tailwind Endurance Fuel, water, and prepackaged snacks available to grab and go.
The site address is 2055 Hwy Z, Half Way, MO. The event location is approximately 20 miles north of Springfield, Missouri. Primitive camping is allowed on site for the nights before and during the event. No refunds are issued; bib transfers are permitted until the date listed by the organizer.
