Leah's Legacy : Charleston, WV
Leah's Legacy takes place on September 13, 2026, at Charleston City Center (Slack Plaza) in Charleston, WV. The course begins at Slack Plaza, proceeds toward the boulevard, and returns to Slack Plaza.
The event program includes multiple participation options:
- 5K run in person and virtual
- 2 Mile walk in person and virtual
- Kids fun run for ages 10 and under
The kids fun run follows Slack Plaza and Brawley Walkway and returns to Slack Plaza after the main run and walk conclude. Registration fees vary by event.
Proceeds support a memorial scholarship fund that awards scholarships to senior athletes who demonstrate teamwork and commitment. The event records timed results for the in person 5K and lists non timed participation for the in person 2 Mile walk.
Awards are given for top overall male and female, masters categories for age 40 and older, age group winners from 8 and under through 80 to 89, and the top three fastest adult teams.
