Lead with Love 5K
The Lead with Love 5K is an annual athletic event held at Dreher Park South in West Palm Beach, Florida. Managed by Mental Health America of the Palm Beaches, the 2026 edition marks the fifth year of this community gathering. The event focuses on mental wellness and physical activity, utilizing the scenic routes within the park.
Participants can choose from several participation options:
- 5K (3.1 miles): A chip-timed running and walking race for all ages.
- 5K Youth (3.1 miles): A dedicated category for participants aged 12 and under.
- March for Mental Wellness: A non-timed walk featuring mini-yoga, meditation, and pet therapy.
- Kids Dash: A short distance activity for children.
- 5K Virtual: A remote participation option for those not attending in person.
The 5K course is professionally timed using chip technology. The March for Mental Wellness is a 0.5-mile walk that incorporates various interactive stations, including neuroarts activities and guided meditation. Following the physical activities, an awards ceremony and post-run snacks are provided for attendees.
All registered participants receive a gender-specific shirt, and finishers are awarded a medal. Age group awards are also presented based on the timed results. Access to the event site is located south of Summit Boulevard, and the park entrance closes shortly before the primary race begins.
