LDWA Autumn Forest Marathon

The LDWA Autumn Forest Marathon takes place on Saturday 26 September 2026 in and around Henley in Arden, Warwickshire. The event is based at the Memorial Hall on Station Road and uses new headquarters, new routes, and new checkpoints for this edition.

Distances offered:

  • 27 miles Marathon route
  • 20 miles Short course

The longer route includes three staffed checkpoints and the shorter route includes two staffed checkpoints. Checkpoints will serve snacks and hot and cold drinks. A hot meal will be served at the finish. The route passes through a mix of newly planted, growing, established and mature forest to show early autumn woodland character.

There is no specific event parking; several public car parks are within a ten minute walk of the headquarters and public transport options are available. Entries open on 4 April 2026 and close on 21 September 2026. Entry fees listed for this event are £20 for LDWA members and £25 for non members; entries recorded so far are shown on the event entry list.

Participants under 18 must be accompanied at all times by a guardian over 18 and must have written parental approval. Dogs are not permitted on the route. Any surplus funds after expenses will be donated to the Heart of England Forest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
