LDWA Autumn Forest Marathon
The LDWA Autumn Forest Marathon is a forest event on Saturday 26 September 2026 centred at the Memorial Hall, Station Road, Henley in Arden, Warwickshire. It returns to the forest with new headquarters, new routes and new checkpoints, and aims to show early autumn across a mix of newly planted, growing, established and mature woodland.
Distances offered:
- 27 miles marathon route
- 20 miles short route
All routes start and finish at the Memorial Hall. The 27 mile route includes three staffed checkpoints and the 20 mile route includes two staffed checkpoints; these points provide snacks and hot and cold drinks. A hot meal is provided at the finish.
Entries open on 4 April 2026 and close on 21 September 2026. Entry fees are listed as £20 for LDWA members and £25 for non members. The event listed 96 participants at the time of publication. Walkers use rolling starts and runners start later. There is no specific event parking but several public car parks are available within about a 10 minute walk of the headquarters; public transport options also exist.
Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian over 18 and have written parental approval. Dogs are not permitted on the route. Any surplus funds after expenses will be donated to the Heart of England Forest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
