LBI Halloween Hustle
The LBI Halloween Hustle takes place on October 25, 2026, in Surf City, New Jersey. The event includes an inaugural 5K Run/Walk and a Little Monsters Dash for younger runners. The 5K uses a fast, flat course through Surf City with the start and finish located on the 100 block of N. 7th Street, near the Surf City Volunteer Fire Company. The course is in the process of obtaining official 5K certification.
The Little Monsters Dash is a short sprint designed for younger runners; participants of all ages are welcome. Ribbons will be presented to all Little Monsters Dash participants. The dash will begin after the 5K awards presentation.
Costumes are encouraged for both the 5K and the Little Monsters Dash. A costume contest is part of the event; all costumes should be appropriate for participants and spectators of all ages. The event is presented as family-friendly and intended to create fall weekend activities on Long Beach Island.
