LBI Commemorative Run Fundraiser
The LBI Commemorative Run Fundraiser is an annual running event held on Long Beach Island in Long Beach Township, New Jersey. The 2026 edition marks the 54th anniversary of this competition. Proceeds from the event support the programs at the St. Francis Community Center.
Participants can choose between two different distances:
- 18 Miles
- 12K (approximately 7.5 miles)
The course for both distances is a straight, flat, point-to-point route that heads north along Long Beach Blvd. The races begin in the Holgate area, with the 12K route ending at the St. Francis Center. Typical weather conditions for the region in October include an average air temperature of 65 degrees, with winds generally originating from the south.
The 12K event is open to both runners and walkers. It is designed for those looking for a distance longer than a standard 5K and includes course supervision and water stations along the route.
