Long Beach Island 18 Mile Run and 12K Run/Walk
The event is the 54th annual 18 Mile Run and 12K Run/Walk on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, organized by St. Francis Community Center. It takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, and features two course options.

Packet pick up and runner check in are at St. Francis Community Center, 4700 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach Township, NJ. Race packets include an official bib with timing chip, four safety pins, a runner bag, a clothing drop tag, and a designated race shirt. Runners should record important medical information on the back of their bib.
Course details note that the 18 Mile Run begins in Holgate and travels north along Long Beach Boulevard to finish at Barnegat Lighthouse State Park. The 12K follows a shorter route along the same island stretch and finishes near 48th Street across from St. Francis Community Center. Aid stations provide water and sports drink approximately every two miles, with restrooms and medical support at major stations and the finish.
Logistics include shuttle buses between the Community Center and the start, shuttle service from the finish to the Community Center, and encouragement of private transportation. Bag drop procedures differ by distance and the Community Center is not responsible for valuables. Registration is handled through RunSignUp and is generally non refundable and non transferable.
