Last Stand Adventure Race
The Last Stand Adventure Race is an outdoor event in Midlothian, Virginia on October 3, 2026, held at 13501 Midlothian Turnpike. The event is listed as a 5 mile race and uses an open course format rather than a fixed route.
Participants receive a map at the start and must locate 5 to 7 hidden control points in the woods, collecting a unique token at each one. The organizer notes participants should expect to cover about 3 to 4 miles total to visit every point. How competitors travel between controls is left to them; suggested approaches include moving clockwise, counterclockwise, or choosing direct routes through the terrain. The checkpoint map will be provided in advance to allow route planning.
Results and awards are based on returning to the finish with all tokens. The first three competitors to finish with all tokens will be declared the official champions. The first family unit to complete the course receives a Family Award. Every participant receives a commemorative event shirt and a custom finisher belt buckle.
A portion of race proceeds will go to Semper Fi & America’s Fund to support wounded military personnel, veterans, and their families. Registration opens June 20, 2026 and closes September 27, 2026.
