L'Assaut du Maquisard

L'Assaut du Maquisard is a unique and challenging sports event that pays tribute to the historical significance of its starting point at the Haute École de la Province de Liège in La Reid (Theux), a site symbolizing resistance during World War II. The event features various trail-running and cycling courses that showcase the beautiful landscapes of the Ardennes, culminating in the ascent of the Maquisard hill. Notably, the 45 km trail will host the 2025 Belgian Championship for short trail running.
