LASAA Mug Run - LASD Norwalk Sheriff's Station
The LASAA Mug Run is an athletic event held in La Mirada, California, organized by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Athletic Association. Originally established in 1993, the series was initially created for Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department employees and law enforcement personnel. While the events began with a small group of approximately ten participants, they have since expanded to include the general public and now host over 300 runners.
The event offers two main race distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
The race takes place at the LASD Norwalk Sheriff's Station area, with the physical address located on Adelfa Drive. The primary objectives of the series are to promote health and fitness while facilitating positive interaction and friendly competition between law enforcement members and the local community. All participants receive a commemorative T-shirt on the day of the race. Registration is available in advance, with a price increase implemented for those who register on the day of the event.
