Event overview
The Las Vegas Turkey Trot is a road and trail running event held on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025. The event runs along the Historic Railroad Trail in the Lake Mead Recreation Area and passes through the Six Tunnels toward Hoover Dam. The event is in its 19th year and offers clear views of Lake Mead. Distances offered include:

Course, awards and perks
Courses are described as accurately measured and clearly marked. The event is USATF sanctioned. Participants receive a race bib, shirt and finisher medal. Post-race snacks are provided. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers and in 10-year age groups.
Logistics and packet pick-up
Packet pick-up is available the day before at a local bike shop and on race morning at the Historic Railroad Hiking Trail parking area. There is no parking at the Historic Railroad trailhead. Overflow parking is at Veteran's Memorial Park near the softball and baseball fields; shuttles run from Commons Way and operate every 15 to 20 minutes. Drop-off is allowed at the Lake Mead Visitor Center on Lakeshore Road but no parking is allowed at that lot and vehicles may be towed. Final registration pricing varies by registration period.
