Las Vegas Turkey Trot
The Las Vegas Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, along the Historic Railroad Trail in the Lake Mead Recreation Area. The course follows an old railroad line through the Six Tunnels toward Hoover Dam and offers views of Lake Mead.
The event is in its 20th year and offers multiple distances so participants can choose a route that fits their plans:
- Half marathon
- 12K
- 5K
- 1 Mile
The event is USATF sanctioned and lists accurately measured, clearly marked courses with reliable results. Participants receive a race bib, shirt, and finisher medal; post-race snacks are provided. Awards include top three overall placements and age group awards in ten-year age groups. Age group prizes and custom overall awards reflect the course terrain.
Packet pick-up is available the day before at Trek Bicycles in Henderson and on race day at the Historic Railroad Hiking Trail parking area in Boulder City.
