Las Vegas St. Patrick's Day Run
The Las Vegas St. Patrick's Day Run takes place in Boulder City at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and uses the Historic Railroad Trail as its primary route. The event offers multiple distances and a one mile stroll, with courses that are accurately measured, clearly marked, and USATF sanctioned.
The half marathon starts at the Historic Railroad Trailhead, runs west for about 2 miles then returns to the trail, continues through six tunnels toward Hoover Dam, reaches a turnaround at Hoover Dam, and follows the same route back to the finish. The 12K begins at the same trailhead, runs east and continues through the six tunnels to a turnaround point before returning. The 5K follows the trail east for approximately 1.55 miles and then returns to the start.
Packet pick-up is available the day before at a local bike shop in Henderson and on race day at the Historic Railroad Trail area in Boulder City. The event provides timing and results, a race shirt, a finisher medal, and on-course hydration with water and Gatorade Nutrition product. The course passes through tunnel sections and offers views within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, located roughly 18 miles from Las Vegas.
