Länsiväyläjuoksu
Länsiväyläjuoksu is a running and walking event held in Otaniemi. The year 2027 marks a significant milestone for the event as it celebrates its 50th anniversary. Participants gather at the starting area on Otarannan tie, where the different distances begin.
The event offers several participation options for different fitness levels:
- 17.3 km running route
- 6 km running route
- 6 km walking route, which can also be completed with Nordic walking poles
Registration for the event is conducted online in advance. On the day of the event, number bib collection and late registration take place at the "Kisatori" area. For the long-distance run, participants arrange themselves at the start according to signs indicating their target times. The event infrastructure includes aid stations and traffic control along the route, which are operational until late afternoon.
The event is organized through a collaboration between Leppävaaran Sisu ry, GeeBee Tuki ry, and the TUL Uudenmaan piiri ry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
