Langdon Walk & Run 2026
The Langdon Walk & Run is a community-focused event held in support of the Langdon Community Library. For the 2026 edition, the event has transitioned to a June date to align with the library’s anniversary. The activities are centered at the Langdon Community Assn, located at 344 Centre Street in Langdon, Alberta.
Participants can choose from a variety of distances and categories:
- 10 km Run/Walk (available for ages 8-14, 15-64, and 65 plus)
- 5 km Walk/Run (available for ages 0-7, 8-14, 15-64, and 65 plus)
- 1 km Walk (available for ages 0-7, 8-14, 15-64, and 65 plus)
The official theme for the 2026 race is Book Characters. Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite literary figures, either individually or as part of a team costume. Recent updates to the event include the introduction of team registrations and dedicated fundraising leaderboards to support library operations. Run kits are made available for pick-up at the Langdon Library in the days leading up to the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
