Course, entries and categories
The course is 2.2 km / 1.4 miles with 300 m / 984 ft of climb. Minimum age for entry is 16. U19 competitors run in the senior race. Junior races are included on the day for U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17. Prizes are awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age category. Age is calculated as at 31 December in the race year.
Entry is on the day only; there is no pre-entry. Race entry is included with the Gala entry fee. Teams are not allowed. The event has a permit and UK Athletics insurance from the Fell Runners Association. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
