Lakou Backyard Ultra
The Lakou Backyard Ultra is a unique ultramarathon event held in the backyard of the race director's home at 26323 Township Road 511, Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada. Part of the River’s Edge Running Series, this race supports Olive Tree Projects, a non-profit organization in Haiti. The event features a 6.7 km loop called the "Yard" Loop, where runners must start each lap precisely on the hour and complete it within that hour, continuing until only one runner remains.
The race is entirely volunteer-run, fostering a close-knit, community atmosphere centered around endurance and camaraderie. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
