Lakewood Center's Outrun Stigma 5k : overview
Lakewood Center's Outrun Stigma 5k is a chip-timed 5K road run/walk held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Oviedo, Florida. The event is organized to support Lakewood Center’s mental health services, including long-term residential care, community integration support, and therapeutic programs for adults living with serious mental illness. Registration price is listed at $25, with a noted price increase after January 1, 2026. Shirts are guaranteed for registrants who complete payment prior to 2/3/26; shirts are not guaranteed on race day.
Logistics and race policies
The course length is 5K (3.1 miles) and the race starts and finishes at the same address: 1700 Oviedo Mall Boulevard, Oviedo, FL 32765. Timing uses a disposable transponder chip attached to the back of the bib; each 5K participant must use the provided chip for official results. Packet pickup and on-site registration are available at the race site on race day. Parking is described as plentiful next to the start location. A water station is located on course and additional water is available at the finish. Qualified emergency medical professionals will be available at the start/finish area.
The event allows dogs and strollers (stroller participants are asked to start toward the back). Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers and to the top three in age-group categories spanning 6 & under through 90+. The race is held rain or shine.
