Lakeview Labor Day 5K Community Run/Walk
The event is a community 5K run and walk held on Monday, September 7, 2026 at Camp Lakeview. Entry fee is listed as $35 with early-registration discounts: $10 off if registered by August 2 and $5 off if registered by August 29. Registration opens in July. Activities take place around the Camp Lakeview dining hall, which serves as the location for parking, check-in, registration, the race start and finish, food service, and restrooms. The day includes a brunch available to everyone, a free kids fun run, and multiple camp activities such as mini golf, a giant slip n slide, a tire playground, a 9-hole disc golf course, cornhole and yard games, and visits to the horse barn.
The 5K course is a single loop on paved roads around Lutheran Lake. The route features an early steep climb in the first quarter mile gaining about 100 feet, followed by roughly one mile of flatter terrain and several steep rolling hills on the second half. Total recorded ascent is 324 feet with 337 feet of descent. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal; children in the fun run receive an award ribbon. Race shirts are available to pre-order or buy on race day. Winners in the run and walk categories receive a $30 camp store certificate and age group winners receive a treat from the camp canteen.
