Lakeside Loops 5K and 10K
Lakeside Loops is a trail event held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Stony Creek Metropark, 4300 Main Park Dr., Shelby Township, MI 48316. The event offers trail distances and a rucking division across marked trails that pass through wooded areas and lakeside settings. Eastwood Beach serves as the main gathering area and post-event hangout.

- 3.1 miles 5K trail run/walk
- 6.2 miles 10K trail run
- 6.2 miles 10K trail ruck
Registration pricing varies by event and date. Early registration is listed at $24 through May 24 at 11:59 pm; later and race-day fees are higher according to each event’s published schedule. Registered participants receive a soft participant shirt or tank while supplies last, a finisher medal, marked trail course access, chip timing, and a post-event gathering at Eastwood Beach. Age-group awards are provided in the running categories.
The 10K ruck division is described as community-focused rather than competitive. There are no weigh-ins and weighted items are discretionary. Recommended minimum ruck weights are 20 lb or more for men and 10 lb or more for women; ruck participants receive a ruck patch instead of traditional awards.
