Lake Tye Challenge
The Lake Tye Challenge is a timed ultrarunning event held on a flat, paved 1.70 mile loop around Lake Tye in Monroe, WA. The course is a loop trail suitable for repeated laps and provides direct beach access at the venue for cooling down during or after the event.

- 12 hours
A full aid station is provided at the start/finish area of each lap and offers music, water, electrolyte fuel products from Hammer, and a selection of energy rich ultra running foods. Burritos from El Paraiso are served to participants. Grass lawn space at the start/finish is available for personal drop bags and canopies with a no spikes rule, and bag storage is available at the aid station.
Chip timing with online tracking is provided by chronokeep.com. Late starts after the official mass start are permitted with notice to the race desk. Results count only full laps completed by each participant. Each participant receives a wooden medal or coaster and free professional race photos; special awards are given to the top three male and female finishers.
The event is organized by the Sky Valley Trail Runners Association, a non-profit 501(c)(3). Proceeds are intended for improving and maintaining the trail network in the Monroe, Sultan, Gold Bar, and Index area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
