Lake to Lake 8k Trail Run & Dog Woods Walk
The Lake to Lake event on October 18, 2026 is hosted at Lacawac Sanctuary in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania. It is the 13th annual trail event held on the grounds of Lacawac Sanctuary and includes both a timed trail run and a non-competitive woods walk.
The program includes:
- 8K Trail Run - trail course, no dogs or strollers allowed
- Dog Woods Walk - walking event with dogs welcome
The outdoor course runs through over 400 acres of nature trails and access roads on Lacawac property. Sections of the course are described as technical, rocky and steep. Timing for the 8K uses RFID chip technology and live results are provided.
Proceeds support Lacawac’s preservation and environmental education programs, scientific research, advocacy and public outreach. Awards for the 8K recognize the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 15 & Under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Older. The Dog Woods Walk is non-competitive.
Registration details: registration opens August 24, 2026 and closes September 30, 2026. Entry fees and shirt options are published with different prices before and after October 1; all fees are non-refundable. Limited parking is available.
