Lake Terramuggus Sprint Triathlon
The event takes place at 200 Park Road in Marlborough, Connecticut and is part of the Lake T Sprint Series in its 25th year. The series has served as an early race for many athletes moving toward Iron Distance triathlons. Transition racking is first come, first serve. Start waves are organized by male and female divisions, and a relay division is offered.
The standard sprint course includes a 600 yard lake swim, a two loop bike course with rolling hills, and a 5K run around the lake that has a few small inclines and a downhill final mile. Aid is available on the run at the town hall section.
A Super Sprint format is available with a 200 yard swim, a 5.5 mile single loop bike, and a 1.7 mile run. An Aqua Bike entry option is also listed.
Online registration opens January 31 and closes at 4pm on race day. Online fees listed are Sprint $45, Super Sprint $35, Relay $65, and Aqua Bike $45. Day of fees are higher for each category. In case of weather cancellation there are no refunds or transfers.
Race rules include no earbuds, helmet worn and fastened before leaving transition, no mounting until Lake Road, maintain two bike lengths spacing, ride as far right as possible when passing on the left, and no animals at Blish Park per the Town of Marlborough.
