Lake Run 5K

Lake Run 5K takes place at Clarkco State Park in Quitman, MS, at 386 Clarkco Road on June 13, 2026. The event includes a 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile Fun Run. All proceeds will go to Friends of Clarkco State Park to fund replacement of swings and playground equipment around the park.

Awards are given across multiple categories. The 5K Run includes Overall, Masters and Grandmasters awards plus 1st through 3rd place awards for males and females in these age groups: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and Over. The 5K Walk has Top 3 Overall male and female awards and Top 3 in the same age groups. The Fun Run awards overall male and female trophies and ribbons for all participants.

T shirts are guaranteed to registrants who register by May 28. The race will be timed and results managed and compiled by TIME2RUN. Entry fees for the 5K are listed as $30 for pre registration by May 25 and $35 after that, and for the 1 Mile Fun Run $20 pre registration by May 25 and $25 after that. Park entry is included if participants choose to run at the park and registrants are asked to place a copy of the registration form in the honor box.
