Distances
- 50 Mile two full laps of the 25.09 mile course
- 50K one full 25.09 mile lap plus a repeat of the 6.4 mile South Loop
The course is a 25.09 mile loop divided into a North Loop (18.6 miles) and a South Loop (6.4 miles), with runners returning to the Cabin Aid Station between sections. Trails are described as runnable for first-time trail runners, but runners should watch for roots and sections with fist-sized granite.
Elevation and terrain details note that each 25.09 mile loop contains over 3,000 feet of elevation gain. Most hills are short, generally under 100 feet, while the main climb called Heaven Hill is about a half mile and rises roughly 200 feet. The route features rolling hills that require sustained endurance.
Aid stations occur four times per 25.09 mile loop, with stops at Heaven Hill and The Cabin Aid Station. Each station will offer water, electrolytes, grab and go snacks, and hot food. A medic will be present at the start and finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
