Lake Macquarie Running Festival
The festival takes place along the Lake Macquarie foreshore at The Esplanade, Warners Bay. It includes multiple road race distances:
- 21.1 km Half Marathon
- 10.5 km Fun Run
- 4 km Family Scamper
Road closures will affect the area between Kings Road Warners Bay and Creek Reserve Road Speers Point and reopen later in the morning. Organisers recommend parking behind The Esplanade shops in the carpark off John Street. Race packs are not mailed and must be collected; collection is available at a local running store and at the event registration tent on the Esplanade.
Timing chips are contained inside the race bibs and do not need to be returned. A supervised baggage claim is provided and requires verification of the race bib for collection. Three aid stations are on course; the final station serves water and isotonic drinks. First aid is provided by St Johns Ambulance and the Ramsay Health Care ED team.
Early bird entry closes in mid August and late registrations may not receive race shirts; shirts may be available to purchase on race day. Late registration is available online up to shortly before events. Cancellations received before 1 September receive a refund minus a $10 processing fee; no refunds are given after that date.
