Lake Erie Liberty 5K

The Lake Erie Liberty 5K is a community sports event scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Avon Lake, Ohio. The event takes place at Beach Park Station and serves as a celebration for the 250th anniversary of America. Participants can choose between two primary distances:

5K Run/Walk
1 Mile Run/Walk (Fun Run)

The 5K event is chip-timed, while the 1 Mile distance is an untimed fun run. To maintain safety and minimize congestion, those participating with dogs or strollers are requested to line up at the back of the starting group.

All registered participants receive a race shirt, a finisher medal, and access to post-race refreshments. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female winners in various age groups ranging from 8 and under to 80 and over.
