LAKE DISTRICT DUATHLONS - GRASMERE 2026
The event takes place on 29 March 2026 at The Showfield, Stock Lane, Grasmere, Cumbria. Competitors run around Grasmere village and the lake on paths and trails, then cycle on mapped roads toward Elterwater for the Sprint or Hawkshead and Coniston for the Standard.
Routes are provided as downloadable maps for the run and cycle sections. A secure transition area is operated for competitors only; race number and bike number correspond to racking spots, small bags or boxes are permitted inside transition, bike numbers must be attached and helmets must be visible before entering, and bib and bike numbers are checked before exiting transition.
Chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive Wild Deer merchandise, an event medal, and a drink and snack. An event T-shirt is available to purchase for £12.
There is limited parking on site and some competitors may need to use nearby public parking. The event also hosts separate 5 km and 10 km trail runs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
