Lake District Duathlons - Grasmere
The Lake District Duathlons take place on 21 March 2027 at The Showfield, Stock Lane, Grasmere, Cumbria LA22 9SL. The run stages follow paths and trails around Grasmere village and lake, and the bike stages use scenic local roads toward Elterwater for the Sprint or Hawkshead and Coniston for the Standard. The event also includes separate 5 km and 10 km trail runs.
Event distances include:
- Sprint Duathlon: Run 5 km, Cycle 20 km, Run 2.5 km
- Standard Duathlon: Run 10 km, Cycle 40 km, Run 5 km
A secure transition area is provided for competitors only. Race number and bike number correspond to racking positions. Small bags or boxes are permitted inside transition. Competitors must have bike number attached and helmet visible before entering; bib and bike numbers will be checked before exiting transition.
Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive Wild Deer merchandise, an event medal, a drink and a snack. An event T shirt is available to purchase for £12 at sign up. There is limited on site parking for £4 and some competitors may need to use nearby public parking.
