Lake District Duathlons - Grasmere
The Lake District Duathlons take place at The Showfield, Stock Lane, Grasmere LA22 9SL on 21 March 2027. The event combines running on paths and trails around Grasmere village and the lake with road cycling legs that head towards Elterwater on the Sprint course or towards Hawkshead and Coniston on the Standard course. Route maps for both run and cycle legs are available to view and download.
Event distances include:
- Sprint Duathlon Run 5 km | Cycle 20 km | Run 2.5 km
- Standard Duathlon Run 10 km | Cycle 40 km | Run 5 km
A secure transition area is located at the showfield. Race number and bike number correspond to racking spots; small bags or boxes are permitted inside transition. Competitors must attach the bike number and have helmets visible before entering transition. Bib and bike numbers will be checked before exiting transition.
Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive Wild Deer merchandise, an event medal, and a drink and snack. An event T-shirt is available to purchase for £14. Entry prices range from £40 to £60. There is limited on site parking for £4 and additional public parking is available nearby.
