Lake District Duathlons - Grasmere
The Lake District Duathlons take place in Grasmere on 21 March 2027 at The Showfield, Stock Lane, Grasmere, Cumbria LA22 9SL. Competitors run on paths and trails around Grasmere village and the lake, then cycle on local roads toward Elterwater for the Sprint course or via Hawkshead and Coniston for the Standard course.
Event distances include:
- Sprint Duathlon: Run 5 km, Cycle 20 km, Run 2.5 km
- Standard Duathlon: Run 10 km, Cycle 40 km, Run 5 km
The event also hosts separate 5 km and 10 km trail runs. Route maps are available to view and download. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North.
A secure transition area is provided for competitors only. Race number and bike number correspond to racking spots. Small bags or boxes are permitted inside transition. Bike number must be attached and helmets must be visible before entering. Bib and bike numbers will be checked before exiting transition.
All finishers receive Wild Deer merchandise, an event medal, and a drink and snack. An exclusive event T shirt can be purchased for £12. There is limited on site parking for £4 and additional public parking may be required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
