Lake District Duathlons - Grasmere 2026

The Lake District Duathlons are scheduled for 29 March 2026 at The Showfield, Stock Lane, Grasmere, Cumbria LA22 9SL. The event combines running on village and lakeside paths and trails with road cycling through the surrounding area.

Run and cycle routes vary by race format. The Sprint route cycles towards Elterwater while the Standard route cycles towards Hawkshead and Coniston. Route maps are available to view and download.

Event distances:

  • Sprint duathlon: Run 5 km, Cycle 20 km, Run 2.5 km.
  • Standard duathlon: Run 10 km, Cycle 40 km, Run 5 km.
  • 5 km and 10 km trail runs are also available.

A secure transition area is provided for competitors only. Race number and bike number correspond to racking positions. Small bags or boxes are permitted inside transition. Bike number must be attached and the helmet visible before entering transition. Bib and bike numbers will be checked before exiting transition.

Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive Wild Deer merchandise, an event medal, and a drink and snack. An event T shirt is available to purchase for £12 when registering. There is limited parking on site for £4 and some competitors may need to use nearby public parking.
