Lake Community Hope 5k and Fun Run
The Lake Community Hope 5k and Fun Run is an annual community event held in Uniontown, Ohio. Organized in partnership with the Lake Community YMCA, the event serves as a fundraiser for the Lake Community Hope Scholarship Fund. The 2026 edition marks the third year of the race and introduces a new course route for participants.
The event features several participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Competitive Walk
- 0.70 Mile Fun Run
The 5K events utilize a chip timing system to record finish times. This course is open to competitive runners, joggers, and walkers. For younger participants or those who prefer a shorter distance, an untimed 0.70 Mile Fun Run is available. All routes are located within the Lake Community, with the start line situated behind the Lake Community YMCA near the tennis courts.
Registered participants have the opportunity to receive a unisex event shirt, with sizes ranging from youth small to adult 3X-Large. Availability is limited to the first 200 registrants, and a "no shirt" option is available for those who wish to donate the production cost back to the scholarship fund. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K Run/Walk, as well as the top three in various age groups ranging from 1-14 to 70+.
