Lake Community Hope 5k and Fun Run : August 23, 2026
The 3rd annual Lake Community Hope 5k and Fun Run takes place in the Lake Community in partnership with the Lake Community YMCA. The event raises money for the Lake Community Hope Scholarship Fund in memory of community members.

- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Competitive Walk
The 5K will use a new course route and a chip timing system. It is organized to accommodate competitive runners, joggers, power walkers and casual participants. The Fun Run is aimed at younger children and participants who want to support the 5K or assist as volunteers. A volunteer registration option is included.
Registration for the main races opens February 13, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $20 for the Fun Run and $35 for the 5K Run/Walk and the 5K Competitive Walk. Volunteer registration is free.
The first 200 registered participants receive a unisex event shirt. Sizes include youth small to large and adult small to 3XL. A no-shirt option is available to donate the shirt fee to the scholarship fund.
Early packet pickup is scheduled August 19–22 at the Uniontown Lions Festival (Hartville Marketplace and Flea Market), 1289 Edison St. NW, Hartville, OH. Event-day packet pickup will be located near the start line behind the Lake Community YMCA by the tennis courts.
Awards for the 5K include top three overall men and women and top three men and women in the age groups 1–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 plus.
