Lake City Running Festival
The Lake City Running Festival takes place at the Plattsburgh City Beach on May 23, 2026. This is the fourth annual edition of the event, which features three different distances for participants to choose from. The course begins and ends at the beach area located behind the Crete Center.
The following distances are available:
- 1/2 Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 10K (6.2 Miles)
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
The event includes an after-party featuring live music, food, and beverages such as beer and wine. Attendees can also participate in activities like cornhole and raffles. While athletes have access to these festivities, the post-race gathering is also open to the public; non-athletes are asked for a suggested donation to enter.
For the safety and logistics of the race, the organizers do not accommodate strollers, baby joggers, or pets on the course. Individuals arriving with these items at the start line will not be permitted to participate in the race. There is no kids race scheduled for this year's festival.
