Half Marathon Unplugged
Half Marathon Unplugged is the 21st edition of a point-to-point half marathon along the Burlington Greenway bike path, adjacent to Lake Champlain with views of the Adirondacks. The certified course covers 13.1 miles and finishes near Switchback Brewing on Flynn Avenue in Burlington after starting at Airport Park in Colchester.
The event offers multiple entry options on the same course, including individual half marathon entries, two-person relay teams, a wheelchair race, and a virtual half marathon that can be completed between April 3 and April 12. Two start waves are scheduled for the in-person race. Individual net timing is provided by chip.
There are three water stations along the course and water available at the finish. A post-race festival is held at Switchback Brewing. Organizers note that the course is very flat and describe the race as a training opportunity for those planning to run the M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon on May 30.
