Lace Up for Laura is an annual community fundraiser held the last Saturday in June. The 2026 edition takes place on June 27, 2026 near the intersection of Plains Road and Reservoir Road in Vermont. The event comprises two races and supports a local memorial fund and an annual scholarship for a graduating senior who demonstrates leadership and a giving spirit and plans further education or training.

The 5 km is an out-and-back course run on a dirt road with little elevation change. Registration for the 5K carries a fee of $25; the kids fun run is free. All kids participants receive race memorabilia, and they also receive a commemorative duck that can take part in a separate duck run in Springfield where ducks may win cash and prizes. Organizers note that proceeds from the 5K benefit the memorial fund and its scholarship program, which has awarded funds to local students in past years.
