Reindeer Run - Long Beach
The Reindeer Run takes place on December 20, 2026 along the Long Beach Shoreline Path at 5400 E Ocean Blvd in Belmont Shores, Long Beach, CA. The event offers multiple distance options and uses marked out-and-back loops on the beach path. The course is open to other path users; runners are asked to be courteous to pedestrians, cyclists, and others.
Distances:
- 5k out-and-back on the beach path
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
An aid station is located at the turnaround near the start and finish and provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and GU gels. The organizer provides custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free videos, live results at finish, free photos by bib, cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, and an event app for tracking race media and results. Snacks and samples are available on site.
The half marathon has a 3 hour 15 minute time limit; early start options are available through the organizer. Transfers are allowed only through the organizer and the event has a no refund policy. Volunteer opportunities are offered in exchange for a complimentary race entry. Parking is free in nearby residential areas; a paid beach parking lot is also available via ticket machine or Passport Parking zone 9372.
