Lucky Eight 5k 10k 15k Half Marathon - Long Beach
The Lucky Eight event on August 8, 2026 offers four race distances along the Long Beach Shoreline Path at Belmont Shores. The course uses marked out-and-back loops on the beach path and is an open course; participants should be courteous to pedestrians, cyclists, and other users of the path. An aid station is located at the turnaround at the start/finish and provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels.

- 10 km two 5 km loops
- 15 km three 5 km loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, drawstring goodie bag, free videos and photos linked to bib, age group awards, live results at finish, cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, and access to the A Better World Running app. Race features snacks and samples and offers a friendly, personal event experience. There is a 3:15 time limit for the half marathon; early starts may be available on request. Transfers are allowed by request and there is a no refund policy. Volunteers may receive a free race entry. Race day registration is available for set fees and accepts credit card, cash, Apple Pay, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.
