La Grande Vadrouille : description
La Grande Vadrouille, organized by the club Les Vadrouilleurs, takes place on Sunday, September 20 and offers several distances for the autumn season. The event includes 1 km, 2 km, 5 km, 10 km and 15 km races.
Online registration for 2026 is available; on-site registration is also possible on race day up to 30 minutes before each start. Residents of Vaudreuil-Dorion aged 17 and under may participate free of charge after completing the registration form at the Service des loisirs et de la culture, located on the 2nd floor of the Centre Multisports (3093, boulevard de la Gare).
Course and services: new routes have been in place since 2022. There is no elevation change for the 1 km, 2 km and 5 km; the 10 km and 15 km cross a viaduct out and back. Services included with registration cover traffic-secured courses, start mats on the 5 km, 10 km and 15 km, free downloadable race photos via PixiSport, kilometer markers, outdoor portable toilets, water points on 5 km, 10 km and 15 km, free parking near the finish, on-site first aid and a post-race healthy snack. Bibs and timing chips are handed out on the morning of the event; bibs must be worn on the outside of clothing and the correct chip used for each race.
Awards include a $100 prize for the male and female winners of the 5 km, 10 km and 15 km, medals for the top three in each age group across distances, and a participation medal for all finishers.
