La Course du Festival des Pêches et Aquaculture
La Course du Festival des Pêches et Aquaculture is a running event organized in collaboration with Gym LeShed in Shippagan, New Brunswick. Established in 2021, the event features several running and walking distances set against a backdrop of picturesque views.
The event operations, including registration and the starting line, are located at 100 Rue de l'Aquarium. Participants can choose from a range of distances including:
- Half Marathon (21.1 km): The primary distance of the event.
- 10 km: A standard road racing distance.
- 5 km: Available for both runners and walkers.
- 1 km: A specific distance for youth participants.
The event is part of the Youth Series, offering a dedicated race for children. Registration is available online in advance, and race day registration is also permitted on-site. For those registering on the day of the event, the process closes 15 minutes before each specific race begins. While the event follows organized timing and logistics, the courses are not officially certified. A family registration option is provided for group participants.
