La Chute du Diable at Saint‑Mathieu‑du‑Parc
The event features multiple trail distances around the Parc récréoforestier de Saint‑Mathieu‑du‑Parc and SEPAQ Mastigouche. The offered distances are listed below.
- 1 km loop, start and finish at the Amphitheatre
- 10 km loop, elevation gain ± 350 m
- 22 km special course, elevation gain ± 1 000 m
- 35 km linear, elevation gain ± 1 250 m
- 50 km linear, elevation gain ± 1 550 m
- 75 km linear, elevation gain ± 2 600 m
Parking for several distances is at Carrière "Forget" or the Vallée‑du‑Parc ski area, with shuttle service to the Amphitheatre and race starts. Some races start from separate locations, including SEPAQ Mastigouche and Rang Morin in Saint‑Alexis‑des‑Monts. All races finish at the Amphitheatre of the recreational forest park.
Technical details are specified per distance: course type, ITRA points, whether poles are permitted, aid station locations with kilometer markers, available GPX files, and time cutoffs for certain distances. The 50 km does not allow drop bags while the 75 km permits a drop bag at the Pins rouges aid station. Spectators cannot use shuttles to reach the start areas for the 35, 50 and 75 km courses.
Practical notes: there is no parking at the Amphitheatre; dogs are not allowed on shuttles; walking from Carrière "Forget" to the Amphitheatre is about 1.3 km along a road without sidewalks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
