Kusam Klimb : Sayward, British Columbia
The event takes place on Saturday, June 19, 2027, near Sayward, BC, with the race venue at Salmon River Guesthouse and routes using nearby trails including Bill's Trail.
Distances and elevation
- Kusam Klimb: approximately 24 to 26 km, around 1,592 to 1,593 m elevation gain.
- Mini Klimb: approximately 13 km, about 491 m elevation gain.
The full route is a loop that climbs over the back of Mt. H'Kusam and descends the Stowe Creek watershed. There are four fully stocked aid stations for the full Klimb and two for the Mini Klimb. Aid stations will not provide disposable cups; participants must bring a reusable cup or bottle.
Rules and safety Entrants must be 14 years old or older. Participants aged 14 to 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult for the full duration of the event. Entrants under 18 require a parent or guardian signature. No children under 14 are allowed. Hiking poles are permitted. No support crews, spectators, or motorized vehicles are allowed on the mountain or at aid stations.
Logistics Registration opened December 15, 2026, and the event was reported as sold out. Bib pickup requires a government-issued photo ID and provides a wristband for food and drinks. Pre-race coffee and pancakes and a post-race barbecue are offered. Parking is organized near the venue; camping registration is required to park at the campground.
