KultureCity Birmingham Race 2026
The KultureCity Birmingham Race takes place in Birmingham, Alabama on November 21, 2026. The event offers multiple distances and a virtual race option to support KultureCity’s mission for sensory accessibility and inclusion.
Distances offered:
- 1 Mile Fun Run Dash for kids, families, walkers, and first-time runners
- 5K
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
Both the 5K and Half Marathon courses are chip-timed and described as flat. The in-person race starts in front of the Powell Steam Plant, the future site of the National Accessibility Park. The event is sensory accessible and will have on-site support for participants with sensory needs or invisible disabilities.
The event program includes pacers for the Half Marathon, cheer stations and water stations along the course, volunteer roles, and an activation village with a race celebration area after the event. All 5K and 13.1 mile finishers receive a commemorative finisher medal. Awards are given by chip time for top overall men and women, top masters (50 and over), top three finishers in multiple age groups, and a team award for the largest team.
An official race after party will be held at Iron City Birmingham with a live performance by Foxy Shazam; registered race participants can add an after-party ticket which includes admission, music, and food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
