About the race
The Kowen Winter Trails is a trail running event held at Wamboin Community Hall in New South Wales, offering marathon, half marathon, and 12 km distances. Runners traverse native forest and groomed forestry trails featuring significant elevation gains—over 400m for 12 km, 600m for the half marathon, and 1400m for the marathon. The courses include challenging ascents such as Mt Amungula for marathoners and Mt Doom for half marathoners, with a mix of dirt trails and some single-track sections.
