Kokoda Challenge - Brisbane
The Kokoda Challenge Brisbane is a team endurance hike held on 13 June 2026 in D'Aguilar National Park, with the start and finish at Brookfield Recreation Reserve (Brookfield, Queensland). Teams of two to five people walk marked courses through fire trails and bush tracks that feature steep, hilly terrain and creek crossings.
Distances offered:
- 18 km, 9 hours to complete, 1 checkpoint, minimum age 9 years.
- 30 km, 12 hours to complete, 3 checkpoints, minimum age 10 years.
- 48 km, 20 hours to complete, 6 checkpoints, minimum age 13 years, support crew recommended.
Each team must meet a minimum fundraising target before the event; registration fees and minimum fundraising amounts vary by team size and distance. Proceeds support the Kokoda Youth Foundation’s youth programs and the event also honours the values and service of Kokoda Campaign veterans.
Event services and logistics include limited parking near the start/finish, food and vendor presence at the finish area, and a dog tag awarded to every finisher. Course maps and detailed support crew information will be provided closer to the event date. Solo entries are not permitted; participation requires a team.
